Resolvable Discussions, Smarter Accepted-Request Tracking, and Excel Workpaper Templates

Punchcard comment threads can now be resolved and reopened, accepted requests flag client edits instead of reopening, and the Excel add-in gains workpaper templates with customizable highlight colors.

Requests & Accepted-Request Tracking

  • Client edits to an Accepted request no longer send it back for review. Instead, auditors see an amber "Changed since accepted" flag on the request's row, card, and detail panel. Opening it shows who changed what and when; a Mark reviewed action clears the flag and records that it was reviewed. Any status change also clears it automatically, and the board can be filtered to just the changed requests.

Comments & Discussions

  • Comment threads can now be resolved and reopened. A visible Resolve button appears on each open thread; resolving collapses it to a single line showing who resolved it and when, with a Reopen control alongside. An All / Unresolved filter is available wherever discussions appear — request pages, the board's quick-view panel, and workpaper cell comments.
  • Reactions: comments now support reacting with any emoji, not just a thumbs-up.
  • Mentioned people and files become clickable once a comment or description is saved — clicking a person opens a card with their role, email, and quick actions (send email, add a comment, or start a Teams chat between auditors); clicking a file opens it in the document viewer.

Task & Request Creation

  • Creating from a template now uses a simpler, searchable picker (Personal/Firm/Punchcard templates) with a preview before you create — available to firms still using the classic workflow builder. Old template share links are no longer supported and show a clear notice instead.
  • Deleting a request now shows the word "request" (not "task") in the confirmation dialog when the deleted item is client-visible.

Board Improvements

  • Hovering a property badge (status, priority, due date, assignee, category, comments, and more) now opens a quick preview with relevant detail — for example, time spent in each status, or recent unresolved comments.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: press S, P, or A while hovering or focused on a task card to jump straight to its status, priority, or assignee picker.
  • Due dates can be set by typing common phrases like "7 days" or "Feb 9", and the due-date picker offers quick presets.
  • List columns like due date and category now stay hidden automatically when no items on the board use them, with the option to force a column always visible or always hidden.
  • Task and request row actions now open via right-click, long-press, or keyboard (Shift+F10) instead of a hover button, freeing up row space for properties.

Excel & Word Add-in (CoAudit)

  • Apply a workpaper template directly in Excel: pick a saved template, preview its structure, optionally fill it with an existing request's data and documents, and insert it as a new sheet — with an easy Undo.
  • Citation highlight colors can now be customized per firm in Excel — cited, validated, and flagged highlights are standard cell styles your firm can recolor, and every highlighted cell updates automatically.

AI

  • The opt-in "Max" reasoning option in CoAudit chat now runs on an upgraded flagship model.
